The Artist
Lee Casbeer grew up in the Texas hill country towns of Llano and Fredericksburg, and together with his brother and sister he often spent weekends painting and drawing with his grandmother, herself an artist. After High School he studied art under John McClusky with the Fredericksburg Art Guild, and then bought a one-way ticket to Italy to see what it might have to offer him. When the job he thought he had there fell through, it became a game of survival. After almost 2 years he managed to get a work permit allowing him to take on legal jobs, and spent a total of 5 years there, continuing to sketch and developing his skills in painting as well as selling his art work in sidewalk shows.
In 1999, he and his brother Matt founded their mural painting company, Lmc Murals & Fine Art, based out of Fredericksburg, Texas. Their work can be found in corporate and private collections around the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. In 2009, he opened a studio and gallery in Johnson City, Texas where he continues to create murals and fine art, as well as work on art restoration.
In addition to his Johnson City gallery he is represented by RoGallery in NYC, Ny, and the Adobe Western Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas.
